Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the G20 summit in Saint Petersburg yesterday that the initiative to create the G-GLOBAL he had proposed 2 years ago was not an alternative to G8 or G20, but a an opportunity for developing states to be heard by advanced countries, Trend reports.
Nazarbayev proposed balancing of world debts and form mechanisms to regulate and control state and corporate debts.
The Kazakh leader emphasized that regional integration, such as the Customs Union, played an essential role in fighting the recession. Kazakhstan is on the final stage of joining the WTO and hopes that G20 states would help it become a member of the organization before the end of 2013.
