Following the latest round of Iran's talks with the 5+1 group, Director of the Centre for Political and Social Reaserch Vladimir Yevseyev discussed the prospects of Iran's relations with Western powers.
The expert noted that it's very important to President Rouhani to pursue Western countries to lift their sanctions by March 2014 (the beginning of the Iranian new year). According to Yevseyev, Rouhani wants the Iranian people to feel a sense of relief by that time.
He noted however that it's quite clear that the sanctions cannot be lifted at once. It will certainly be a long process, he says.
This means that if the Iranian leadership wants the sanctions to be lifted by March, a decision should be made as soon as possible, he explains.
