Ankara's authorities demand that Khojali Genocide Museum should be renamed

The authorities of the Turkish capital of Ankara demand that the future Museum of the Khojali Genocide should be renamed. According to the officials, the usage of the word "genocide" may cause a diplomatic row.

The museum is expected to be unveiled in February with the help of the Azerbaijani government.

The Khojali massacre was the killing of hundreds of ethnic Azerbaijani civilians from the town of Khojali on 25–26 February 1992 during the Nagorno-Karabakh War.
