A day after testing the Sochi ski slopes, Russian President Vladimir Putin participated in a friendly hockey match against former ice hockey champions and Belarussian president Lukashenko at the host city of February's Winter Olympics, the Voice of Russia reports. The two presidents' team won the game against stars including Soviet-era champion Alexander Yakushev.Putin's spokesman told the news agency ITAR TASS that Putin had invited Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to join in Saturday's friendly. "Knowing that a match with hockey stars was planned at Sochi and knowing of Alexander Lukashenko's passion for the sport, Putin invited him to Sochi," the Voice of Russia quotes Dmitry Peskov as saying.Both presidents wore red, with Putin in a number 11 jersey and Lukashenko in number 1.To take part in the match, the president arrived at the Olimpiysky Park train station in Sochi, one of the six railway stations of Sochi which will become main transportation hubs during the Olympic Games.
