Kadyrov appoints Adam Ilyasov a new qadi of Grozny

On his official page on the application Instagram, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov says that at a meeting with imams of settlements and the leadership of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the region, he expressed "reasonable dissatisfaction with the work of some of them."

"Once again, I noticed that foreign ideologists of Wahhabism, using the Internet, try to capture the minds of young people, to recruit them, and to actually make them enemies of Islam," ITAR -TASS quotes the head of Chechnya. "Any deficiency can lead to serious consequences. Chechnya will never have Wahhabism, habashism, or other trends that are contrary to the Qur'an, the Sunnah and tariqa."

Information about the appointment of Adam Ilyasov as Grozny's new qadi (a Muslim cleric carrying the duties of a judge ) was also voiced at the meeting. The head of the Republic described him as "a consistent opponent of Wahhabism."

Ramzan Kadyrov, after discussions with representatives of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims, held a meeting with ministers and heads of district administrations and requested them to join in this important work.

In 2007 Ramzan Kadyrov initiated the fifth national project for the spiritual and moral education of youth, within which the clergy, opinion leaders, athletes and artists contributed to continuous work on the prevention of youth extremism.
