Ukrainian opposition and German leader to meet in Berlin

Ukrainian opposition leaders Vitaly Klitschko and Arseny Yatsenyuk will meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin on February 18.This will be the first time Germany has become directly involved in the conflict between Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovych and the opposition ongoing since November 2013. Merkel did not meet the head of the Ukrainian state or opposition since the EU summit for the Eastern Partnership held on November 28-29, followed by the Kiev protests.Klitschko and Yatsenyuk attended the Munich Security Conference two weeks ago. They had meetings with secretary generals of the UN and the NATO and US secretary of state.
