Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said that certain elements of the final agreement for the Iranian nuclear program may be settled at the fourth round of talks with the Group of Six (Russia, UK, Germany, China, U.S., France) in Vienna on May 13-16, RIA Novosti reports.
Ryabkov expressed hope that the U.S. would speed up the process to prepare the agreement by July 20.
IAEA inspections, according to Ryabkov, is one of the main issues that need discussing. It is still uncertain whether they concern the Arak reactor. The limits of the Iranian nuclear program have not been set either.
Russia encourages Iran to develop its nuclear program within the framework of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
Iran and the Group of Six reached an agreement in November 2013. According to its terms, Iran froze its nuclear program, reduced stockpiles of uranium enriched to 20% in exchange for ease of sanctions.
