Parliamentary elections are being held in the semi-recognized republic of South Ossetia on Sunday. 33 thousand voters are expected to take part in the vote. 9 political parties are taking part in the campaign.
The preliminary results are expected to be published within two hours after voting ends. Exit polls are going to be held at 20 polling stations.
According to South Ossetian law, the elections are valid if the turnout constitutes 50 percent or more.
Studies show that the United Ossetia party, headed by Minister of Emergencies Antoly Bibilov, is going to come first.
