The Azerbaijani central electoral committee registered two electoral
blocs ‘Karabakh’ and ‘In the Name of Man’ on Saturday, Trend reports.
The secretary of the central electoral committee, Natig Mamedov, gave
information about the two blocs. He said that the two blocs meet the
requirements of Azerbaijani electoral law. 64 authorized
representatives of ‘Karabakh’ and 24 of ‘In the Name of Man’ were
approved.
The head of the central electoral committee, Mazakhir Panakhov, said
that the documents of ‘Democracy’, ‘PNFA-Musavat’ and ‘Reformation’
were also approved.
Members of the ‘Umid’ and 'Democratic' parties are represented in the
‘Karabakh’ block, members of the Liberal party and he party of
Civilians and Development are represented in ‘In the Name of Man’.
Azerbaijan will hold parliamentary elections on November 7th 2010. The
election campaigns started on September 3rd. The previous elections
were held in November 2005. The elections are based on a majority
system with 125 electoral districts.
