In order to reach a comprehensive agreement on Iran by July 20 while it is realistic, work is going into round-the-clock mode, Russia's deputy minister of foreign affairs Sergey Ryabkov is quoted as saying by ITAR-TASS.
The results of the Vienna round of the Iran-sextet talks are not very impressive; the emergence of some text is a positive step, but essential questions remain, the Russian official said.
Russia proceeds from the understanding that Iran's agreement with the sextet must have a limited timeframe, and when it is implemented then restrictions on the nuclear program will be lifted, Ryabkov is quoted as saying.
The deputy foreign minister also said that the Vienna round of talks over the Iranian nuclear program has failed to produce agreement on the design of the Arak reactor.
