The Zhamanak newspaper reports that the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani line of contact did not escalate unexpectedly for Armenia. According to the press, shipments of weapons worth $4 billion to Armenia were the motive for Azerbaijan to augment tensions. The Zhokhovurd newspaper called sectoral sanctions against Russia a serious challenge that the Armenian government cannot take. Armenia has not joined the Eurasian Union and gained benefits from the integration mechanism but it has already started feeling the setbacks.
The Aravot newspaper believes that if Russia withstands the sanctions without ruining standards of living too much, the cult of Putin will only strengthen in Russia. Another case is a possible war and collapse of oil prices in 10 years. Sanctions have been in force against Iran since 1979 but they only started having an impact on its economy in 2013.
The U.S. embassy in Armenia has urged all countries and residents to consider the risks they may face when cooperating with Russian companies and individuals. Armenia is actively cooperating with Gazprombank and VTB. Rosneft was planning to invest in Nairit, Aykakan Zhamanak reports.

The Economist has recently published a Business Environment Ranking. Armenia was not put on the list of the top 100 countries, Azerbaijan was rated 91st, Russia 77th. Algeria, Kenya, Venezuela, Angola, Tunisia and Egypt were praised for good business environment.

This means a loss of 112,000 citizens. 63,002 people left the country using Yerevan International Airport, 2,935 using Shirak Airport in Gyumri, 40,899 using the Bagratashen Checkpoint, 4,959 using Bavry. Despite harsher migration control in Russia, the number of migrants does not drop below 100,000.
