Friendly political relations between Armenia and Turkmenistan require
an economic foundation and strengthening, Armenian Prime Minister
Tigran Sarkisian said, opening an exhibition-market of light
industrial goods. The exhibition is taking place in Yerevan as part of
the second session of the Armenian-Turkmenian Interrights Commission,
the Panarmenian reports.
“Relations between our two countries are developing and are based on
traditions that we must support, develop and deepen”, said Sarkisian.
He noted that Armenia is interested in fast growth of Turkmenistan’s
light industry, adding that the governments of the two countries need
to make efforts to expand economic co-operation. Sarkisian believes
that this can be achieved with the help of agreements made within the
meeting of the Interrights Commission and the opening of the
exhibition-market and a business-forum. The Prime Minister hopes that
their work will be fruitful and help strengthen the relations between
the countries.
