Sergey Melikov, the Russian plenipotentiary presidential envoy to the NCFD, has visited Derbent and discussed preparations to mark the 2000th anniversary of the city with Dagestani Leader Ramazan Abdulatipov. Melikov will visit the Naryn-Kala Citadel, the old part of the city, the Juma Mosque, the Street of Mamedbekov and the coast.
The envoy will attend a session of the anti-terrorism commission of Dagestan, meet Chief of the FSB Directorate in Dagestan Alexander Mironov and Dagestani Interior Minister Abdurashid Magomedov.
