Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and British Prime Minister David Cameron have met at the UN General Assembly. It was the first meeting between Iranian and British leaders since the Islamic Revolution of 1979. The sides agreed that they had differences and needed to overcome them, RIA Novosti reports.
The politicians came to an agreement that countries of the Middle East should make more efforts to weaken terrorist organizations, including Islamic State.
Rouhani and Cameron discussed problems of the Iranian nuclear program and emphasized the importance of signing a long-term nuclear agreement.
