Saakashvili does not get U.S. working visa

The U.S. has granted Georgian ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili a working visa. Rusvesna.su says that U.S. President Barack Obama’s administration have become disappointed with the politician.

The New York Times says that Saakashvili is switching his tourist status to a working visa. He plans to start reading lectures at Tufts University. The education center stopped cooperation with the Georgian ex-president in May 2014.

Living in New York, Saakashvili said he filed the documents for the visa on September 20. The Georgian Prosecutor General’s Office put Saakashvili on the international wanted list in late August. The ex-president left Georgia about a year ago. He spent some time in Kiev, consulting the new government of Ukraine.
