Igor Morozov, a member of the Russian delegation to the PACE, noted that the procedure would be a complicated discussion. Morozov reminded that Russia was paying a serious fee for membership as one of the largest members of the organization. In his words, Russia could find other vectors of foreign activities to invest the money in. The senator mentioned Asia and Mediterranean countries.
The delegate added that Russia had done all it could to develop dialogue with European countries. He blamed the U.S. for “feeding” Western MPs with anti-Russian rhetoric. Morozov said that there were prospects for renewal of constructive contacts with the European Parliament.
