Young leaders discuss post-Soviet conflicts in Brussels

 

Brussels has hosted the Young Leaders Forum summoned by the European Parliament within the framework of the Eastern Partnership program of the EU. The forum was attended by young journalists, scholars of international relations and social sciences from member-states of the program. One of the topics they discussed were conflicts on the post-Soviet space, including conflict of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, Transnistria, Crimea and the south-east of Ukraine, Trend reports.Attendees of the forum discuss differences of the sides of the conflicts, possible ways of settling them and the current state of affairs.Natalia Mirimanova, an expert in transformation of conflicts and peacekeeping, chaired the talks and noted that the EU was not paying enough attention to the Nagorno-Karabakh problem. She recommended the EU to put more efforts into resolving the conflict.
