Putin allows Ukrainian citizens of military age to live in Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin has put forward a proposal to increase the legal tenure of Ukrainian citizens in Russia, and these changes will affect mostly people of military age. He announced this during his meeting with students of the National University of Mineral Resources, Mountain.

"By the way, many people have already evaded mobilization, trying to move to us, to stay here for a while. And they do it rightly, because they are simply pushed back, like cannon fodder, under bullets," TASS quotes the words of the Russian president.

Putin reminded that the current law allows citizens of Ukraine to stay in Russia for only 30 days. "Under the new law, citizens of Ukraine cannot stay in Russia for more than 30 days. They come back, and become “trapped” and sent to the hotbeds of tension again, under bullets. Therefore, we will probably change something in the law," Putin promised.

"In the framework of the law we can increase the length of stay in the country of certain categories of people, especially those of military age," Vladimir Putin emphasized.
