U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has been the least effective person to hold that post in the past 50 years, according to the results of a Foreign Policy magazine survey.
According to respondents, Henry Kissinger, secretary of state in the years 1973-1977, topped the list, scoring 32.2 percent against Kerry's 0.3%.In second place with 17.71 percent of the vote is James Baker, Interfax reports.
US experts named climate change, armed conflicts in the Middle East and failed states as the most important foreign policy problems.
Harvard (46.20%), Princeton (39.14%) and Stanford (33.02%) were considered to be the most effective US universities to study international relations. The best Master's programs for a policy career in international relations, according to experts, are offered by Georgetown (58.61%) and Johns Hopkins University (47.76%).
