Alexander Zharov, the head of Roscomnadzor (Russian communication surveillance service), said that Twitter was violating the national law on prevention of extremism. In his words, the social network complied with about 3,000 requests of the U.S. government for disclosure of personal information of users, yet not one of 108 requests of Roscomnadzor, TASS reports.
Zharov clarified that Twitter refused to block popular users speaking against the Russian government and giving other information about developments in Ukraine.
