The former Prime Minister of Georgia, the founder of the ruling Georgian Dream coalition, Bidzina Ivanishvili, has expressed regret at the appointment of ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili as a chairman of the advisory board on international reforms under the head of the Ukrainian state. He noted that the advice of Saakashvili and his supporters could be dangerous for Ukraine.
The ex-Prime Minister called the designation of Saakashvili, who is wanted in Georgia, and Adeishvili, who is wanted by Interpol, as advisors in Ukraine "a sad event" and noted that it would be better if Ukraine had taken into account the position of the Prosecutor's Office of Georgia and all the views of friendly states.
At the same time, Ivanishvili urged "not to dwell on this fact tragically."
According to him, "Ukraine is a friendly country, and we cannot allow any doubt that this could change - on the contrary, Georgia must do everything to deepen the relationship with Ukraine."
