Military personnel who served in hot spots will receive free education
A proposal to allow representatives of veterans' organizations for young people who served in hot spots to study at universities for free from the state budget has been supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"I agree, I think, since the Soviet era, that young people who have gone through these difficult tests have the right to free education in preparatory courses, but with regard to free education at university - I agree, let's make a bill," he said at a meeting with representatives of veterans' organizations, which took place on February 15, on the anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet forces from Afghanistan, Tass reports.
"Money, indeed, is probably necessary, but it is definitely a little money, nothing will happen with our treasury, with the budget, and it is very important to support young people who do their duty in hot spots," said Putin.
