There won't be a war between Russia and Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"I think that such an apocalyptic scenario is unlikely and I hope that it will never happen," Interfax cited his interview to the 'Russia-1' channel.
Speaking about the statement by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, who announced plans of Ukraine to regain Crimea, the Russian head of state said: "As for the return of some areas, it is a thing of a revengeful nature, and it is not about the return of some territories."
"The fact is that the current leadership of such a large European country as Ukraine, first of all, must return the country to normality, to adjust the economy, the social sphere, to establish their relationship with the south-east of the country in a civilized manner, to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of the people who live in Donbass for example," he said.
"The worst thing is instigating a conflict between Ukraine and Russia and attempts to inflate the conflict," Vladimir Putin concluded.
