Israeli President Reuven Rivlin will consult with the parliamentary parties on the candidate for the post of prime minister.
Depending on the results, he will give the mandate to form a government to the deputy who, in the opinion of the head of state, will have the greatest chance of enlisting the support of the parliamentary majority.
After that, the candidate will be allocated 42 days to form his cabinet.
After the parliamentary elections on Tuesday, Benjamin Netanyahu has the greatest chance of becoming the new prime minister.
The president has already managed to send invitations, in which he calls "to complete the process of creating a new government as soon as possible to provide its citizens with the full capacity of the cabinet," RIA Novosti reports.
