POF: Putin’s electoral rating reaches 76%

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s electoral rating has grown over the last weeks and reached 76%, according to a poll conducted by the Public Opinion Fund (POF).


The president’s electoral rating reached a record 76% at the end of March. But at the beginning of April, 75% of respondents said they were ready to vote for Putin if the elections were held tge following Sunday. In 2014, Putin’s electoral rating stood at 64%, TASS reports.Over the last week, the number of those who trust the president has grown from 38 to 41%. The number of respondents who trust Putin "to a certain extent" has fallen from 47 to 44%. 5% of people still do not trust the Russian president. 84% of Russians said they positively assess Putin’s work, while 7% of people hold the opposite opinion.Around 4% of Russians are ready to vote for LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky in presidential elections. 3% would vote for Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov. 1% of respondents said they would vote for businessman Mikhail Prokhorov, who ran for president in 2012. 8% of respondents said they would not go to the polls, while 5% of people could not answer the question.The poll was conducted by POF on April 18-19 in 64 constituent parts of Russia, around 3000 people took part.
