A final deal on the Iranian nuclear program may be reached before the due date of July 1, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.
There are still many gaps and disagreements between the two sides. The negotiators are trying to reach a single agreed text. We think that we can do that even before the deadline," TASS cited him as saying.
"What we achieved in New York was the first draft of the whole package. Now we have a written text, although we still have lots of brackets, which represent the differences we have," Araghchi said.
According to him, the talks in Vienna are aimed at reducing the "number of brackets" and "cleaning" the text. The most significant issues will be the lifting of sanctions imposed on Iran.
"All economic and financial sanctions should be terminated on the day that we start to implement the final deal. There will be no phased removal of sanctions," the Deputy Minister concluded.
