Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has accused the Ukrainian authorities of an absence of political will to carry out the necessary reforms in the country.
"I believe that change is possible only through the pressure of society, as I do not see the political will at the top,’’ RIA Novosti quotes him as saying. He said that reforms are being prevented by the structure of the Ukrainian government because of its bureaucracy, hindering the political will to implement even if it is present. "The problem is that the officers think it will work forever, despite the change of government and the conducted Maidan ... The bureaucrat does not see his role as a servant of the citizens. It is also a question of mentality, how you treat your people as you are doing your job," the ex-president of Georgia said.
