The Azerbaijani Central Electoral Commission nullified on Sunday the
results of elections in 28 polling stations, Trend reports.
The CEC viewed the complaints received during the parliamentary
elections on November 7. Two complaints were cancelled: one of them
was out of date, the other one did not clarify the problem. 16
complaints did not carry any arguments. One complaint was sent to a
corresponding structure for consideration, one was resolved.
The elections were nullified in three polling stations of the second
Nasimin electoral district N22, one polling station of the second
Kyapaz electoral district (Gyandzh) N40, one polling station of the
second Surakhan electoral district N31, five polling stations of the
Shekin City electoral district N113, six polling stations of the
Salyan-Neftchalin electoral district N60, six polling stations of the
firstSabirabad electoral district N63 and one polling station of the
first Sabunchin electoral district N26.
According to the polling results announced by the CEC, Mollazade Asim
Nazim oglu won in the second electoral district N22 (49.47%), Guliyev
Musa Isa oglu in the second Kyapaz (Gyandzh) electoral district N40
(38.82%), Guliyev Faradzh Ibrahim oglu in the second Surakhin
electoral district N31 (34.52%), Mahmud Yakub Mikayly oglu in the
Shekin City electoral district N113 (54.15%), Agamaly Fyazail Rahim
oglu in Salyan-Neftechalin electoral district N60 (51.84%), Osmanly
Jeykhun Yunis ogly in Sabirabad electoral district N63, Mustafa Fazil
Gazanfar oglu in the first Sabunchin electoral district N26 (68.19%).
Azerbaijan held parliamentary elections on November 7. 50.14% of the
population, 2 480 205 people, took part in the process. There were 690
candidates. Azerbaijan holds parliamentary elections using the
majority system with 125 electoral districts. The previous elections
were held in November 2005.
