Israeli premier denies reports on apology, compensation to Turkey

The prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, met with the
deputies of the Likud party and denied media reports on the
government's intention to apologize to Turkey and pay compensation to
the relatives of those who were killed in a clash with the Israeli
troops in the storming of a humanitarian convoy en route to the Gaza
Strip in spring of this year.

He also stressed however that Israel considers it essential to
maintain good relations with Turkey and is conducting talks with the
Turkish officials.
