Suspected attackers on Nalchik get prolonged detention

The Supreme Court of Kabardino-Balkaria has prolonged the detention
terms for 56 suspected militants, who attacked Nalchik in October
2005, by three more months, Interfax-South reports.

One of the suspects, Kazbek Budtuyev, received a prolonged
preventative measure not to leave town. Another suspect, Zalim
Ulimbashev, was also given recognizance due to his poor health and was
released from the court.

The Supreme Judge, Aslan Dumayev, said that the suspects are accused
of grave and exceptionally grave crimes. They will remain in detention
until March 26, 2011.
