The head of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO),
Nikolai Bordyuzha, told the upper chamber of the Russian parliament
that he is concerned about the increasing military activity in
Azerbaijan, News.am reports.
He said that the Georgian authorities are not helping to stabilize the
situation by promoting anti-Russia attitudes and increasing the
potential for military conflict.
Bordyuzha said that extremism in Dagestan, Ingushetia,
Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia and Chechnya have a negative
effect.
The CSTO consists of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia,
Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
