North Korean has warned about its readiness to start a ‘holy war’ with
its southern neighbor using nuclear arms, Vice-Marshal Kim Yong-Chun
said, Reuters reports, citing the Central Telegraph Agency of Korea.
South Korean held military exercises in the demilitarized zone on
Thursday. The exercises lasted only 40 minutes. However, it was the
biggest training in its history.
The situation on the Korean Peninsula remains complicated after the
shoot-outs at Yonphendo Island in the Yellow Sea on November 23, in
which there were victims.
On Monday the South Korean military ignored Russia's call to avoid training.
North Korean became a nuclear state in 2005. It is not its first
threat to use nuclear arms.
