Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that the decision to suspend protocols signed with Turkey was "made unilaterally by Armenia".
He also said that the process would resume as soon as possible, and this resumption would be beneficial not only for Armenia and Turkey but for all other countries of the region, as well as for the international community, especially the USA, France and Russia.
The protocols were signed by the sides in October 2009.
On 22 April, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan announced that Armenia had suspended its ratification of the protocols, despite the fact that the Armenian Constitutional Court approved them on January 12, 2010.
Davutoglu has already discussed the issue with the U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who said that the U.S. supports the resumption of the rapprochement process.
