Race-hate gang jailed in Russia's Stavropol Territory

A courtin Russia's Stavropol Territory jailed 11 locals for for
race-hate attacks, ITAR-TASS reports, citing the local prosecutor.
The group were found guilty of forming a group to carry out attacks on
people of a non-Slavic appearance.


The accused received jail terms ranging from 4 years behind bars to 18
months suspended sentences.

 Victor Chabanov, Alexey Vlasenko and Dmitry Tskhovrebov, united into
an organized group in 2009 to promote intolerance towards non-Slav
nationalities and to carry out public beating of them in public
places. They involved 8 people into the 'act of intimidation'. They
prepared masks and bottles with flame liquid to burn vehicles and iron
bars as weapons. They were beating up people of non-Slav nationality
on the streets.
