The Chechen parliament has approved the republic program against
corruption in Chechnya for 2011-2013, Yuga.ru reports.
Alexander Radvan, deputy head of the Chechen parliament committee for
legal affairs, law order and security, delivered a report on the
issue.
He noted that the program is aimed at protecting the rights and
interests of citizens, society and the state from corruption.
Radvan said that realization of the program requires preventative
measures, improvement of measures to reveal corruption and formation
of an anti-corruption mentality. The measures include monitoring the
efficiency of anti-corruption measures and the participation of civil
society. The program includes improvement of the legal basis of
Chechnya.
The authors of the program believe that it will reduce corruption and
strengthen the faith of citizens in the work of the executive
authorities.
