The leadership of Russian Railways plans to install about 60 metal
detectors at all the railway stations in Moscow and St. Petersburg in
the next 2-3 days, the deputy chief of the railways, Vladimir Yeremin,
told journalists, RIA Novosti reports.
After having visited Kiev railway station in Moscow on Thursday,
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev criticized security measures on the
railways and instructed the head of the railways to bring order to the
security of rail transport and to report the results.
According to Yeremin, active installation of the metal detectors at
all the railway stations in Moscow and St. Petersburg began today.
