Russian special services have killed 87 and detained 182 militants, head of the National Counter-Terrorism Committee Alexander Bortnikov said, RIA Novosti reports.
Bortnikov said that 9 people surrendered.
31 terrorist crimes have been prevented this year. 89 bombs have been defused. 170 terrorist criminal cases were registered in the first quarter of 2010.
A militant leader Korigov was killed in a special operation in Ingushetia. The Yandiyev brothers suspected in organizing the blast at the International Airport of Domodedovo in Moscow were detained. Leader of the Sunzhen group Khamkhoyev was detained.
The blast at Domodedovo on January 24, 2011, killed 37 and injured over 120. Five suspects were detained, including the sister and brother of suicide-bomber Magomed Yevloyev, brothers Islam and Ilez Yandiyev, who supposedly transported him to the airport.
Bortnikov said that a major militant base was destroyed in a forest in Sunzhensky District of Ingushetia on March 28, as a result of a special operation with the Defense Ministry. 17 militants, including a militant ideologist Abdullayev, were killed.
Earlier reports said that there were 19 militants killed.
The official said that 37 "bandits" were killed in Dagestan, including leader Dalgatov, who organized explosions on the Makhachkala section of the North Caucasus railways.
12 active extremists were killed in operations in Kabardino-Balkaria. Aslan Yemkuzhev, a terrorist specialized in sabotage who received training abroad, was among the dead.
11 militants were also detained in Chechnya.
