Moscow is forming international groups to monitor popular places of Caucasian young people. The groups will include Russians and most ethnicities of the North Caucasus. Their job will be to maintain order on the streets and prevent any interethnic conflicts, Izvestia reports.
The idea to form the groups was initiated by the Deti Gor Caucasian Youth Organization of Russia.
The main places to be patrolled by the groups at first will be Tverskaya, Manezhnaya Square, such Trade and Recreation Centers as Yevropeysky, Okhotny Ryad and Atrium. Chairman of the Moscow office of Deti Gor, Bersan Zaitov, said that it is easier for natives to convince own compatriots at times. Violations of some people create a negative image of a whole ethnicity.
Rustam Tapayev, Chairman of the Union of Chechen Youth, expressed readiness to take part in international groups.
Akim Saferov, head of the Association of Dagestani Youth, supports the idea. Veniamin Rodnyansky, a member of the Public Chamber, hopes that the law enforcers would approve the idea.
