Ethnic communities in Moscow fear involvement of Cossacks in patrolling the streets. Kamil Davdiyev, head of the committee for inter-ethnic relations and religious association of the Dagestani People’s Assembly, said that Moscow authorities should ask opinions of local communities before starting patrolling.
Magomedrasul Omarov, press secretary of the Dagestani Muslim Administration, said that Cossack patrols were unnecessary.
Igor Gulichev, deputy chieftain of the Yugo-Vostok Cossack Society, assured after patrolling the Belorussky Train Station on November 27 that their fears were unjustified.
