South Ossetian capital, Tskhinval, will receive humanitarian aid from Russia in mid-March. Russian journalists, political analysts and historians will open the Journalism School and give lectures at middle schools and the Tskhinvali University. Sergey Rakeda, a teacher of the History Faculty of the Moscow State University, has described the goals of the visitors.
He noted that humanitarian contacts of Russia and South Ossetia were the most important aspect of their bilateral relations. The official said that more attention was paid to economics, construction and restoration of facilities, but there was also need for professional, humanitarian and socio-cultural collaborations.
Rakeda believes that the Russian delegation will help South Ossetian journalists improve the media society.
The humanitarian mission will give students lessons, bring education books, office supplies, notebooks and school albums, most of which were donated by students of the History Faculty of the MSU. Rakeda thanked TetraProm for preparing materials for South Ossetian schools.
Another teacher of the faculty Anna Talyzina told Vestnik Kavkaza that students of the faculty took active part in organizing the humanitarian mission in Tskhinvali.
