Report from the first Caucasian forum of Russian youth

The last preparations for presentations of works are being made and adjustments are being implemented. The head of the North Caucasus Federal District, authorized presidential envoy Alexander Khloponin will arrive on July 30th.
The day began with a speech by the Russian ambassador-at-large Abdul-Khakim Sultygov and member of the Russian Public Chamber, First Channel presenter Maxim Shevchenko, who arrived at the forum to discuss the new declaration of civil agreement and responsibility for the future of Russia. The declaration started intensive discussions concerning the problem of strengthening the civil identity of Russia, the role of Russian and other cultures in forming the new system of values, development of patriotism and tolerance. The final version will be approved in November this year by the social organizations of Russia, taking into account the adjustments, experts say.
After noon the chairman of Chechen parliament Dukuvakha Abdurakhmanov and chairman of the parliament of Karachay-Cherkessia Alexander Ivanov made speeches. At the briefing they discussed security issues, corruption, economic development, the preservation of thr national park, and issues concerning the handicapped. The main issue was corruption and clans in the authorities of North Caucasus.
After lunch the participants of the forum were listening to a lecture by Shevchenko about civil society, Islam, international policy, and human dignity. In his dialogue Shevchenko discussed the prospects for the development of the country, as well as potential opportunities to improve life in the country.
The only moment the participants of the forum had time to take a break was at the informal talks with the world ultimate fight champion Alexander Yemelyanenko. He turned out to be an intellectual who can talk on almost any subject – from sports and politics to the quality of the menu and the beauty of the mountains.
