Michael Markelov, famous Russian journalist and politician currently executing his duties in the North Caucasian Federal District administration, attended the ‘Mashuk-2010’ summer camp and presented the idea of creating a common media-space in the District to the young journalists. He also gave his young colleagues some advice on the choice of interesting subjects for future projects.
At the end of the conversation he asked his young interlocutors to define the notion of ‘liberty’. Mr Markelov said that he himself didn’t believe there was any universal determination for that, but that he liked the slogan proposed by Russian President; “Liberty is better than no liberty’.
