Russia presents Armenia with 7,500 Russian language schoolbooks

Russia will give 7,500 Russian language schoolbooks as humanitarian aid to Armenia, RIA Novosti reports, citing the press-service of the ‘Russian Cooperation' office in Armenia.


The books will be presented on Thursday at the Pushkin School in Yerevan, within the framework of the meeting of the head of the Federal Agency for CIS affairs, compatriots living abroad and international cooperation (‘Russian Cooperation’) and the special presidential envoy to CIS countries, Farit Mukhametshin, with teachers in Yerevan.


The books are for children taking advanced studies in the Russian language. The presentation of the first Russian ABC book for all schools with advanced Russian language studies will also take place. The ABC book has a print run of 5,000 copies and was published with the support of ‘Russian Cooperation’.
