Gallup International questioned people in 143 countries of the world in 2012 to see how many considered their lives distressful. 37% of Armenians called their lives distressful, more than in Bulgaria, Afghanistan and Syria.
Gallup experts split the people questioned into three categories: prosperity, fight and suffering on a 10-point scale.
Cambodia, Haiti, Hungary, Madagascar, Macedonia, Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan are among the top 10 states with the most distressed populations.
