Moscow and All-Russia Patriarch Kirill have expressed concerns about pseudo-Islamic radical groups in Moscow at the Eparchy Assembly today, Interfax reports.
Kirill said that increase of migrants, especially ones from Central Asia and the Caucasus, caused more interethnic conflicts. He added that many migrants were recruited to extremist and terrorist organizations.
The Patriarch added that promotion of extremism was especially active among Slavic teenagers and was taking place in education centers, prisons, sports centers and social networks.
Kirill emphasized that there were tens of thousands of pseudo-Islamic radical members in Moscow who were provoking ethnic and religious hatred to trigger Islamophobia and attract new recruits.
