Young historians of the post-Soviet countries meet in MSUYesterday the International Youth Scientific Conference “The Common History Space is a Fundament of Russia’s Future” opened at the History Department of Moscow State University. It is organized by the political scientific center of “North-South” and the MSU History Department.Young historians from Moscow, Samara, Saratov, Tambov, Grozny, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan arrived in Moscow to take part in the conference.Problems of history of the peoples of Russia and the former Soviet countries, preserving and passing the common historical memory to future generations, social activity on building professional communications between young historians of Russia and the former Soviet states are the focus of attention.Yefim Pivovar, President of the Russian State University for Humanities, opened the session and told about implementation of humanitarian projects in the sphere of preservation of the historical space between countries of the post-Soviet area.Two sessions were held at the conference: “Contribution of social organizations of the post-Soviet countries to establishment of the common history space” and “General directions and prospects of development of professional communication between young historians of the post-Soviet countries.” Participants of the discussions talked about acute issues of humanitarian cooperation in the post-Soviet space, attempts to falsify history, and problems of building an inter-ethnic dialogue in Russia and other CIS countries.Vestnik Kavkaza provides information support for the project.Yesterday the International Youth Scientific Conference “The Common History Space is a Fundament of Russia’s Future” opened at the History Department of Moscow State University.
