400 residents of Kabardino-Balkaria will make the hajj this year, said Kabardino-Balkarian Deputy Mufti Khizir Misirov, coordinating the hajj. Russia was given a quota of 16,400 hajj tours this year, all of them already booked.
The first group of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia will depart on September 19. They will travel to Amman by plane, then take a bus. The journey will cost $3,300. The second group will set off for Medina on September 21. The hajj will cost $3,850. Both groups will fly from Mineralniye Vody. Their pilgrimage will take 20-30 days.
Dagestan was given a quota for 6,000 pilgrims, Chechnya 2,600, Ingushetia 1,400.
