Members of the Jehovah's Witnesses organization have won a case against the Georgian government at the European Court of Human Rights. 99 of them will receive compensation worth 30,000 euros (350 euros each and 15,000 euros in legal fees).
Jehovah's Witnesses filed a lawsuit with the European Court in July 2002, stating 30 cases of discrimination. Appeals of 11 of the plaintiffs were rejected.
