Georgia's State Agency for Religious Affairs will transfer to the Office of the Muslims ownership of the 23 mosques in Georgia that are now on the state balance in Eastern Georgia (Kvemo Kartli), the head of the Agency Zaza Vashakmadze said.
Permission for re-registration of property has already been issued to the Agency for Religious Affairs. At the next meeting it is planned to discuss the fate of the other mosques, Georgia Online quotes Vashakmadze.
Currently the Agency is holding a meeting with representatives of the Georgian Orthodox Church.
