New Zealand hiker saved on Elbrus


Climbers from Adygeya and Moscow have saved a hiker from New Zealand at a height of about 4500 metres on May 20-21.
Terskol rescuers were informed about the hiker. They promised to arrive for him in the morning.
Maksim Bogatyryov, a master of hiking, taught the group of 25-year-old Artyom Lemeshev from Maikop to climb Elbrus and stressed the need for proper supply of medication while ascending.
The hiker from New Zealand lost his gloves and his fingers were half-frozen. He was climbing the mountain alone.
